KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating after bones were found east of Peterson Creek.
In a news release issued Friday (Jan. 20) morning, RCMP say they received the report Thursday (Jan. 19) at 12:30 p.m. which led them to an area above the 700-block of the East Trans Canada Highway.
“Right now, police are working with the BC Coroners Service to confirm if the bones are human and if so, who they belonged to,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “From there, the investigation will continue into the circumstances surrounding their discovery.”
Anyone with information, or who may have come across any other bones in the area, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
