Suspect charged after vehicle stolen from Logan Lake gas station
LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Logan Lake are coming out with information about the theft of a car from a local gas station.
The theft happened at about 1:30 p.m. on February 10. Someone took a Volkswagen Jetta from a gas station on Chartrand Avenue in Logan Lake.
The suspect took off toward Merritt or Ashcroft and RCMP began patrols.
About 15 minutes later, an officer spotted the Jetta on Highway 8 driving toward Spences Bridge. Officers reported the suspect speeding and driving erratically, so police did not pursue.
A spike belt deployed near the junction of Highways 1 and 8 brought the Jetta to a stop and allowed Mounties to arrest the suspect.
Christopher Loosley-Millman, 44, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, flight from police and dangerous operation of a conveyance.
