2024 already a top-3 all-time construction year for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — With two months left in the year, 2024 has already established itself as the third-busiest construction year on record for Kamloops.
According to month-end numbers for October, the City of Kamloops Building Inspection Division issued $38.1 million in building permits last month. That total includes $26.4 million spread between 12 commercial projects.
The October permit activity pushed the year-to-date total for 2024 to $319.7 million. That’s more than double the value of permits issued at the same point in 2023.
The only years the city has issued more permit value were 2022 ($415.4 million) and 2020 ($395.1 million).
