Ashcroft RCMP want to return stolen stamp collections to sender

ASHCROFT, B.C. — RCMP in Ashcroft are hoping to reunite two large and intricate stamp collections with their rightful owners.

In a news release, Cst. Richard Wright of the Ashcroft detachment says police want to return the collections to sender.

Wright says in the past month, RCMP have recovered large stamp collections in both the Cache Creek and Oliver areas.

“These collections have clearly been a labour of love for somebody and we are keen to get these back their collectors,” said Wright.

Anyone who recognizes the stamps or knows of someone who has lost a stamp collection is asked to contact Ashcroft RCMP at (250) 453-2216 or Oliver RCMP at (250) 498-3422 with proof of ownership.
