Every Child Matters Hockey

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the Sandman Centre will once again come alive with energy, purpose, and community spirit as it hosts the 3rd Annual Every Child Matters Hockey Game — a powerful, family-friendly event that blends sport, culture, and community in support of truth and reconciliation.

This year’s game will feature a star-studded roster that includes former NHL, WHL, PWHL, Team Canada, and elite-level athletes, along with notable actors and musicians. Presented by the Orange Jersey Project in partnership with the Orange Shirt Society, this impactful event is designed to raise awareness and inspire meaningful action around truth and reconciliation — all through the powerful and unifying lens of sport. Building on the energy and success of previous years, the game will once again bring together residential school survivors, Indigenous leaders, families, and supporters from all walks of life to share in a high-energy, family-friendly evening of connection and community spirit.

EVENT SCHEDULE: • 2:00pm – 3:30pm | Player/VIP Autograph Signing (Kia Lounge) – open to general public, no cost

• 3:30pm | Doors Open, Exhibitor Booths Open (Main Concourse/Lower Bowl) – ticket holders only

• 4:20pm | Player Warm-Up

• 5:00pm | Opening Ceremonies Plus: Exciting live musical performances at each intermission, and prize giveaways throughout the evening!

This alcohol- and drug-free event is open to all ages and designed to be a safe, welcoming space for families and community members.
